Design and Optimization of an Umbrella-Type Shield Based on 3D CFD Simulation Technology

Mechanical shields can effectively alleviate the problems of low pesticide utilization and severe environmental pollution. This manuscript uses a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) method to investigate anti-drift mechanism mechanical shields, study airflow forms around them, establish an accurate simulation model. The aerodynamic characteristics six were studied, their effect was compared. Then, size working parameters optimized using response surface methodology (RSM). significantly improve fog droplet deposition rate (DR) compared with conventional spray (no shield), among which umbrella-type shield has best effect; optimizing selecting suitable increase DR 77.31 %. field trial showed that reduced by 31.9 % at 5 m/s 3 m/s, while only 3.6 proved excellent performance shields. results consistent CFD simulation, relative deviation between two within 4 %, so accuracy reliability model proved.
